Kurnool, July 13, 2026: Twenty schoolgirls from Orvakal Parish in the Kurnool Diocese received bicycles on Monday under an educational support initiative aimed at helping underprivileged students travel more easily to school.
The bicycles were distributed by Fr. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, saying the bicycles would ease their daily commute and encourage them to continue their education.
The parish described the initiative as a significant step in supporting children from economically disadvantaged families and thanked Fr. Nagothu Anand, SVD, Provincial, and his team for their generous assistance in making the project possible.
The parish also acknowledged the contribution of the staff of Cherly School, particularly Sr. Jerosha, DSS, Correspondent; Sr. Betty, DSS; Sr. Kanchana, DSS; and the teaching staff for their cooperation in organising the programme.
Special appreciation was extended to Smt. Maddela Pushpa, Smt. Narra Swetha, Smt. Viramasu Jhansi and Mr. Madhavaram Pandu for their efforts in coordinating the distribution.
The parish expressed special gratitude to Fr. Kola Vijaya Raju, Parish Priest of Our Lady of All Nations Church, crediting his vision and sustained efforts for bringing the initiative to Orvakal Parish.
The programme concluded with prayers for God's blessings upon the benefactors and all those who contributed to the educational outreach.
