Salesians Mark Jubilees with Joyful Thanksgiving for Faithful Service in New Delhi

Don Bosco Provincial House, New Delhi, July 21, 2025: In a spirit of deep gratitude and celebration, the Salesian Province of New Delhi gathered at Don Bosco Provincial House to honour the Diamond, Golden, and Silver Jubilees of Priestly Ordination and Religious Profession of its beloved confreres. The joyful event served as a moving tribute to decades of dedicated service to the Church, the Salesian Congregation, and especially to the young, following the charism of Don Bosco.

Leading up to the milestone event, Rectors and Leaders of the Province had spent a week in silent spiritual retreat at the Provincial House. This time of reflection and communion with God offered a renewal of their vocational commitment, setting a reflective and grace-filled tone for the celebration.

At the heart of the day was the solemn concelebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Kuriakose Adichirayil—one of the Diamond Jubilarians—alongside Fr. Davis Maniparamben, the Provincial, and the other Jubilarians. The liturgy reflected a profound spirit of faith and fidelity. In his address, Fr. Provincial personally acknowledged each Jubilarian, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their unique journey of vocation and the lasting witness they have offered to generations of Salesians and the People of God.

The following confreres were honoured:

Following the Eucharist, a vibrant cultural programme and felicitation ceremony enlivened the gathering. Songs, dances, and words of appreciation echoed through the hall, making the occasion truly memorable. The presence of relatives, fellow Salesians, and well-wishers added to the warmth and joy of the celebration.

The day concluded with a joyful fellowship meal, rich in shared stories, laughter, and gratitude. It reflected the unity and fraternity that mark the Salesian spirit—one charism, one mission, and one Founder.

More than a commemoration of time, the Jubilee stood as a powerful testament to God’s enduring call and the courageous “yes” of these Salesians. Their lives, marked by joyful fidelity, continue to inspire hope, reminding the faithful that holiness is possible and love in Christ always bears fruit.
