Salem Parish Begins 40 Days of Adoration for the Church, Clergy, and Humanity

Salem, July 29, 2025: Our Lady of Good Health Church in Udayapatty, Salem, Tamil Nadu, under the care of the MSFS Fathers of the Pune Province, has begun a powerful spiritual initiative, '40 Days of Eucharistic Adoration' from today (July 29) until 7 September 2025. This marks the third consecutive year the parish is hosting this solemn period of intense prayer and intercession.

The initiative, titled “Praying for the Church, the World and You,” responds to the growing global crises that continue to challenge moral values and peace across nations. In the words of the organising clergy, the faithful are invited to gather “in His powerful presence” to lift up the needs of the world, the Church hierarchy, clergy, religious, and laity.

The 40 days begin each day with silent Eucharistic Adoration from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, followed by Holy Mass. The inaugural Mass will be held this evening at 6:00 pm, marking the spiritual commencement of the journey.

Fr. Austin Joy MSFS, Parish Priest, and Fr. Lourduswamy MSFS, Assistant Priest, warmly invite the faithful to visit the parish during these 40 days and join in prayer for divine strength and healing for the world.
