Logo for 13th Regional Youth Convention Officially Launched Across Karnataka Dioceses

Karnataka, July 29, 2025: The Karnataka Regional Youth Commission (KRYC) officially launched the logo for the 13th Regional Youth Convention, which is set to take place in the Diocese of Karwar from 2nd to 5th October 2025. The unveiling ceremonies were held across multiple dioceses, each graced by the presence of bishops, youth leaders, clergy, and enthusiastic young people from across the region.

In the Archdiocese of Bangalore, the launch was held in the presence of Archbishop Peter Machado of Bangalore, President of the Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishops' Council (KRCBC); Sr. Molly Illikal, Regional Youth Lady Animator; Mr. Ebin from the KRYC Core Team; Ms. Blessy, Programme Coordinator for ICYM Karnataka and Mr. Nevin Antony, Former KRYC Coordinator. Members of the YCS/YSM Regional Team were also present during the celebration.

The Diocese of Karwar, which will host the forthcoming convention, witnessed the logo unveiling with Bishop Duming Dias of Karwar, leading the event alongside Fr. Silvan Rodriguez, Diocesan Youth Director (DYD) and Mr. Akwil Fernandes, ICYM National Member. The event was supported by DEXCO members, diocesan priests, and religious sisters.

In the Diocese of Bellary, the logo was revealed in the presence of Bishop Henry D'Souza of Bellary, Chairman of the KRCBC Youth Commission; Fr. Lourd Raj (DYD), DEXCO members, and the diocesan youth.

Meanwhile, in the Diocese of Belgaum, Bishop Derek Fernandes of Belgaum, presided over the launch. Also present were Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Regional Youth Director; Ms. Vileena Gonsalves, KRYC Coordinator and ICYM Karnataka President; Jesvita D'Souza, YCS/YSM Karnataka President; Fr. Agnel Baretto (DYD) and Ms. Milagrin Saldanha, Liturgy Coordinator of ICYM Karnataka. The diocesan team and several youth members actively participated in the occasion.

The logo launch across the dioceses reflects the unity and vibrancy of Catholic youth in Karnataka as they prepare for the much-awaited regional gathering in Karwar.
