Jericho Rosary Unites Faithful Across Gwalior Diocese

Gwalior, 4 November 2025 — Under the guidance of Bishop Joseph Thykkattil and the leadership of the diocesan youth director, the diocese of Gwalior organised deanery-level Jericho Rosary gatherings throughout October, the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary. The initiative brought together parishioners from across the diocese in a collective expression of prayer and devotion.

The Jericho Rosary for the Gwalior deanery was held on 23 October at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, while the Shivpuri deanery marked the occasion on 26 October at Jeevan Jyothi Ashram.

The month-long observance concluded on 31 October with a special celebration at Infant Jesus Adhyatmik Kendra, Dabra. Bishop Joseph Thykkattil of Gwalior presided over the event, urging the faithful to remain steadfast in their commitment to the Rosary as a cornerstone of spiritual life.

Bringing the celebration to a close, Fr. Lawrence D’Souza highlighted the significance of the Holy Rosary in the life of every Catholic believer, reminding the faithful that it remains a powerful weapon of faith and unity within the Church.
