Youth Sunday Celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, Indore, M.P.

Indore, Madhya Pradesh, August 25, 2025: The youth of St. John the Baptist Church in Indore celebrated Youth Sunday with a vibrant and spiritually enriching programme at the church premises. The event brought together young parishioners for a day of prayer, reflection, and fun activities under the guidance of parish priests and youth leaders.

The celebration began in the early morning with Adoration, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary. The highlight of the day was the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Raju Dowdiyar SVD. 

During his homily, Fr. Raju inspired the youth with a message centred on four key points: controlling one’s words, being alert and mindful, walking on the narrow path, and understanding that we become exactly what we choose to become. His reflection resonated deeply with the youth, inspiring them to lead purposeful and mindful lives.

The youth of the parish actively engaged in various liturgical roles during the Mass, including Entrance Dance, Introduction of the Celebrant, Liturgical Readings, Intercessory Prayers, Offertory, Thanksgiving, Choir, and Altar Services, showcasing their dedication and enthusiasm.

Following the Mass, refreshments were served to all the youth. Later, several fun and engaging games were organised under the supervision of Sr. Arpita, Nisha Saul, and Rebecca Akkel. All youth of the parish actively participated in the games, showcasing their talents and competitive spirit. The winners were later announced as follows: First Position – Riya Akkel, Second Position – Saniya Saul, and Third Position – Ankit Vatiya.

On behalf of the youth, Irin Jolly delivered a vote of thanks to Fr. Raju Dowdiyar and Fr. Sony Antony, expressing gratitude for their guidance and encouragement. The event concluded on a high note, reflecting the energy, dedication, and joyful spirit of the parish youth, making the Youth Sunday celebration a memorable and inspiring occasion.
