July 25, 2026: The Economic Times has announced the launch of Batch 4 of its Young Mind Entrepreneurship Programme, a five-week online course designed to introduce school students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and innovation. The programme will commence on 1 August 2026 and is open to students from Class 6 onwards, with weekend sessions allowing participants to balance their academic commitments.
The initiative aims to nurture entrepreneurial thinking among young learners by equipping them with practical skills to identify problems, develop business ideas and transform them into investor-ready pitches.
The programme follows a carefully designed five-week curriculum that guides students through each stage of building a business idea.
Participants will begin with problem and idea discovery, learning how to identify real-world challenges and generate innovative solutions. The second week focuses on idea validation and selection, helping students assess the feasibility of their concepts.
The course then progresses to business model strategy, followed by sessions on branding and go-to-market planning. In the final week, students will learn the basics of financial planning and investor pitching, preparing them to confidently present their business ideas.
By the end of the programme, participants will have developed a structured understanding of entrepreneurship while gaining practical experience in creating a viable business concept.
Students who complete the programme will receive an official certificate from The Economic Times, recognising their participation and entrepreneurial learning.
Participants will also have the opportunity to compete for a ₹5 lakh prize pool through the Proto-Pitch competition, where they can present their ideas before a panel of judges.
Selected projects will also be showcased on The Economic Times website, offering young innovators valuable national exposure.
The initiative seeks to encourage creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills among students at an early stage, helping prepare them for future academic and professional opportunities.
The Young Mind Entrepreneurship Programme begins on 1 August 2026 and is open to students from Classes 6 to 12. The course will be conducted entirely online over five weekends, making it accessible to students across the country.
Registrations close on 25 July 2026. Interested students and parents can register through the Proto-Pitch portal or seek assistance via the programme's dedicated WhatsApp support.
By combining structured learning with real-world business challenges, the Young Mind Entrepreneurship Programme offers aspiring young entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions while developing essential leadership and business skills.
