TCYM Leadership Programme Inspires Religious Sisters to Embrace Christ-Centred Leadership

Hyderabad, June 29, 2026: The Telugu Catholic Youth Movement (TCYM), functioning under the Telugu Catholic Bishops' Council (TCBC) Commission for Youth, organised a Leadership Training Programme for the Sisters of St. Ann's of Providence, Central Province, on June 28, with a focus on nurturing Christ-centred leadership rooted in Gospel values and service.

The programme commenced with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Sleevaraj, SDB, Regional Youth Director of the TCBC Commission for Youth. Reflecting on the day's Scripture readings from 2 Kings 4:8–11, 14–16, Romans 6:3–4, 8–11, and Matthew 10:37–42, he called on the sisters to respond to God's invitation with faith, generosity, and unwavering commitment.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Sleevaraj, together with Mr. Harry Joshua, Regional Youth Advisor of the TCBC Commission for Youth, led an interactive leadership formation session on the theme, "Rooted in Values, Leading with Wisdom, and Visionary Leadership."

The resource persons encouraged the participants to cultivate servant leadership inspired by the Gospel, highlighting the importance of compassion, integrity, wisdom, and vision in religious ministry. The sessions also stressed the need for responsible leadership grounded in Christian values and dedicated service to the Church and society.

The organisers acknowledged the support extended by Sr. Emmy Gracy Vas, Provincial Superior, and Sr. Aruna Dasari, Province Education Councillor, whose encouragement contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

Expressing gratitude at the conclusion of the event, Sr. Emmy Gracy Vas thanked the resource persons and all those who worked behind the scenes to make the programme a meaningful experience.

The leadership formation programme provided the sisters with an enriching opportunity for prayer, reflection, fellowship, and learning, inspiring them to renew their commitment to leading with faith, wisdom, and the joyful spirit of Christ-like service.
