Secunderabad, Telangana, Sept. 10, 2025 - The Telugu Catholic Bishops’ Council (TCBC) held its annual meeting of regional directors and secretaries of TCBC commissions on 10 September 2025 at the TCBC Centre in Secunderabad. The event brought together delegates from across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to present their annual reports, share challenges, review progress, and plan future initiatives for the mission of the Church in the region.
The day began with a Holy Mass, followed by an opening prayer led by Fr. Raju Alex A.E., Deputy Secretary of TCBC. Bishop T. Joseph Raja Rao, General Secretary and Treasurer of TCBC, extended a warm welcome to all the attendees and delivered the opening address. In his remarks, Bishop Raja Rao emphasised the importance of transparent reporting of performance, ongoing programmes, challenges, and future goals by each delegate. He further encouraged participants by acknowledging their success stories and contributions over the past year.
During the meeting, detailed presentations were made by the regional directors of institutions, including Amruthavani Communications Centre, Divya Vani, Andhra Pradesh Jyotirmai Society, APSSS, APSSF, Jeevan Trust, and Bharathamithram Society. The secretaries of the various TCBC commissions then presented their reports. The commissions included Canon Law, Theology, Catechetics, Ecumenism & Interfaith Dialogue, Bible, Education, Health, Liturgy, Youth, Prison Ministry, SC/BC, Tribal Affairs, Vocations, ATCRI, Charismatic Renewal, Justice & Ecology, Proclamation, Migrants, and the Telugu Catholic Council.
The sessions during the meeting, moderated by various directors and secretaries, enabled meaningful dialogue, reflection on the past year’s activities, and sharing of best practices. The meeting concluded with observations from Bishop T. Joseph Raja Rao, who expressed gratitude to all contributors for their efficient reporting and for their fellowship.
