Sr. Celina Surin New Associate Secretary for Youth Commission

New Delhi, 8 May 2026 (CCBI): The CCBI has appointed Sr. Celina Surin, M.S.M.H.C., as Associate Executive Secretary to the Youth Commission. The appointment was made during the Executive Committee meeting held on 5–6 May 2026 in Bangalore.

Sr. Celina Surin, 47, is from Golaghat, Assam. She made her First Profession in 2001 and Final Profession in 2007. She holds degrees in Philosophy and Theology, including B.Ph., B.Th., and M.Th. She has received training in spiritual direction, retreat preaching, counselling, and catechism animation in Bangalore, Kerala, and Kolkata. Over the years, she has served as teacher, touring sister, formator, vice superior, superior, and Provincial Councillor for Evangelisation. 

She has also led a Missionary Animation Centre and served as a spiritual guide and retreat preacher. She brings deep experience in formation and spiritual guidance. She has walked closely with many young people and individuals on their faith journey.
