Tamil Nadu, March 14, 2026: In an effort to promote responsible and informed use of digital platforms, the St. Carlo Institute of Skills and Catholic Formation (CISCAF), a unit of Vox Ecclesiae under the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore, will host an online session titled “Introduction to Legal Awareness in Digital Media” on March 14, 2026.
The one-hour programme will be conducted from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via Google Meet, offering participants an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the legal framework governing digital communication.
The session is designed to help participants become aware of the laws that guide responsible online engagement, including the rights and responsibilities of digital users and the safe and lawful use of social media and other digital platforms.
Adv. Arockiya Blessy J, who holds degrees in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. in Crime and Forensic Law, will serve as the resource person. She will provide insights into key legal aspects relevant to digital media, particularly in an era where online communication plays an increasingly important role in social and ecclesial life.
Organisers say the initiative aims to equip communicators, students, and interested participants with essential knowledge to navigate the digital space ethically and responsibly.
The programme is being coordinated by Fr. Ritchie Vincent, Secretary of the Commission for Social Communications; Er. Regilan, Director of Operations; and Ms. Pramila, Prefect of CISCAF.
