Neyyattinkara, July 04, 2026: The Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) of the Diocese of Neyyattinkara organised its annual FIAT (Faith Intercession Adoration Testimony) Day of Prayer at the Sacred Heart Forane Church, Chullimanoor, on June 28, drawing around 120 young people from across the diocese.
Hosted by the Chullimanoor Forane, the day-long spiritual programme focused on prayer, reflection and Eucharistic devotion, offering participants an opportunity to deepen their faith and renew their commitment to Christian life.
The event commenced with the hoisting of the KCYM flag by Diocesan President Arun Raj C.S., marking the beginning of the gathering.
Dr. Binu T., Vicar of Chullimanoor Forane and Director of the KCYM Chullimanoor Unit, inaugurated the programme. Addressing the participants, he urged young people to make prayer the foundation of their daily lives, noting that a strong spiritual life equips them to bear witness to Christ with courage in contemporary society.
Fr. Franklin Victor, Director of KCYM Chullimanoor Forane, delivered the keynote address, encouraging the youth to remain steadfast in faith and respond generously to God's call through a life centred on prayer.
A session of Eucharistic Adoration and meditation, led by Fr. Praveen, provided participants with time for personal reflection, repentance and spiritual renewal. The programme concluded with Eucharistic Adoration, leaving the participants inspired to continue their journey of faith with renewed zeal.
Among those present were KCYM diocesan and State office-bearers, including Diocesan Secretary Dominic Savio Panavila, Treasurer Abhirenj Alamukku, State Senate Members Shibin Jose Vazhavila and Ancy M. Kattakkode, State Syndicate Member Sajin Varghees Kuruthamkodu, Diocesan Ex-Officio Members Anu Das C.L. Ponvila and Saju J.S. Puthenkada, Diocesan Animator Mohan, and Diocesan Counselling Cell Member Sr. Romeo.
