Legion of Mary Renews Marian Consecration Ceremony in Indore

Indore, March 23, 2026: In a solemn expression of Marian devotion and apostolic commitment, members of the Legion of Mary in the Catholic Diocese of Indore renewed their annual consecration on March 22 during a ceremony held in preparation for the Feast of the Annunciation.

Recognised as a defining moment in the Legion’s spiritual calendar, the ceremony gathered legionaries as Mary’s “army ranged in battle array,” reaffirming their total consecration in a collective and public act of faith. The renewal remains central to the identity of the Legion, strengthening members in their spiritual discipline and apostolic mission.

With deep reverence, participants once again recited the traditional formula of consecration: “I am all yours, my Queen, my Mother, and all that I have is yours.” The declaration reflected a renewed surrender to the Blessed Virgin Mary, expressing reliance on her guidance while renewing their resolve to serve Christ in their apostolic endeavours.

The ceremony began in the late afternoon in an atmosphere of prayer and devotion. It included the recitation of the Legion prayers from the Tessera, followed by individual and collective renewal of the Legionary promise. The gathering culminated in the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, drawing participants into a profound moment of Eucharistic adoration.

The occasion was marked by the presence of Fr. Sumit Tahir, Spiritual Director, and Fr. Mahesh Sulya, whose participation underscored the importance of such spiritual renewals within the life of the diocesan Church.

Legionaries, auxiliary members, and youth participated in large numbers, reflecting the unity and vitality of the Marian movement. The gathering concluded with a shared sense of joy and commitment, captured in a group photograph marking the occasion.

The renewed consecration stands as a reaffirmation of faith and mission, calling members to deeper dedication in their spiritual lives and apostolic responsibilities, inspired by their devotion to Mary and directed towards the greater glory of God.
