Khammam, February 25, 2026 — Priests of the Diocese of Khammam gathered at the Bishop’s House for a day of prayer, reflection, and fraternity, renewing their commitment to missionary discipleship and pastoral service.
The meeting opened with the Rosary and a welcome to the Associate Directors of Communio. Sr. Margarita animated interactive sessions that fostered deeper fraternity among the clergy, enabling them to share pastoral experiences and affirm one another in ministry. Emphasising joy as a hallmark of priestly life, she encouraged participants to be living witnesses to Christ through their service.
Drawing inspiration from the Gospel of Matthew (5:13–17), she reflected on the “5G” essential for priestly ministry: God’s Presence, God’s Holy Spirit, God’s Word, God’s Blessings, and God’s Mission. She urged the clergy to remain firmly rooted in Christ as the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
A period of Eucharistic Adoration followed, leading the priests into a time of confession and spiritual renewal before the Blessed Sacrament.
Later, Fr. Das conducted an orientation on the initiatives of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India. He introduced Communio and Catholic Connect, outlining their pastoral relevance and missionary outreach. The session concluded with an interactive dialogue addressing practical aspects of their implementation in parish life.
Bishop Prakash Sagili and the Communio Director expressed gratitude to the team for its ongoing pastoral initiatives in the diocese, acknowledging their contribution to strengthening collaborative ministry.
The gathering concluded with thanksgiving, as the clergy entrusted their renewed missionary commitment to God’s grace.
