KCYM Verapoly Releases Special Publication Ahead of 23rd Marian Pilgrimage to Vallarpadam Basilica

Kochi, Sep 15, 2026: A special edition of Porul, the official publication of the KCYM Verapoly Archdiocese, has been released ahead of the 23rd Marian Pilgrimage to the National Marian Pilgrimage Centre at Vallarpadam Basilica.

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan released the special edition by handing over a copy to KCYM Verapoly President Rajeev Patrick. The publication has been brought out as a dedicated supplement for the Marian pilgrimage, bringing together articles and messages focused on the pilgrimage and its spiritual significance.

Designed in a newspaper-style format, the special edition features contributions from the Archbishop and Auxiliary Bishop, as well as the KCYM President and youth directors. The publication seeks to accompany young people and pilgrims participating in the pilgrimage through reflections and messages from Church leaders and those involved in youth ministry.

Promoter Fr. Raphael Stanil Chanassery, KCYM Latin State Vice President Akshay Alex, KCYM Varapuzha Archdiocese Animator Sr. Merlita CTC, Treasurer Joyson P.J., and executive members Dilma Mathew, Vinoj Varghese, Arun Sebastian and Dennis George were present at the release.

The Porul special edition serves as a dedicated publication for the 23rd Marian Pilgrimage, bringing together the perspectives of Church leadership and youth ministry for pilgrims journeying to Vallarpadam Basilica.
