Indore, October 25, 2025: A spirit of compassion and service illuminated Tejaji Nagar, Indore, as Atmadarshan Foundation joined hands with the Indore Social Welfare Foundation to organise a health and service camp on the occasion of the teravi of the late Mr. Iyyunny Chirayath from Kerala. The initiative, held during the festival of lights, embodied the true meaning of humanity and generosity.
More than 200 people availed themselves of free medical check-ups conducted by a team of specialists, including ophthalmologists, gynaecologists, ENT, orthopaedic, and general medicine doctors. The camp also extended support to 150 underprivileged families who received ration kits, while sanitary pads were distributed to women, ensuring their health and dignity.
The event was held in loving memory of Mr. Iyyunny Chirayath, marking the thirteenth day after his sudden demise. Members of the Chirayath family — Dr. Betty Chirayath, Senior Scientist at BARC Mumbai; Father Anand; and Dr. Angeline James — played a pivotal role in ensuring the camp’s success.
Index Hospital’s collaboration proved invaluable, contributing medical expertise and logistical support. Community volunteer Akash Pandey assisted numerous individuals in obtaining Ayushman cards, helping them access government health benefits. Meanwhile, Trilok Kushwaha facilitated the use of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School’s premises for the event, providing an ideal space for this noble cause.
The combined efforts of the Atmadarshan Foundation and the Indore Social Welfare Foundation turned this initiative into a meaningful celebration of life and compassion. Their commitment and teamwork made this Diwali not merely a festival of lights but also one of service, health, and hope for the less fortunate.
Through this collaborative outreach, the organisers demonstrated that true festivity lies in uplifting the vulnerable and serving humanity with love and dignity.
