Vincentian Community Mourns Untimely Loss of Theology Student

Pune, August 8, 2025 – The Vincentian Congregation, South Indian Province, has announced the sad and sudden demise of Bro. Barath Benedict Balraj (2000–2025), a second-year theology student on August 7 at Vincentian Vidya Sadan, Pune.

Bro. Barath was in formation for the priesthood, dedicating himself to theological studies and community life.

In a message, Fr. Anil Thomas CM, Provincial Visitor of the South Indian Province, expressed condolences and requested prayers for the departed soul and the bereaved family. “May the Merciful Lord grant him Eternal Life,” the statement read.

The funeral will take place on Saturday in his home parish near Vellore.
