The Heart of Living: A Path to True Fulfillment

Tamil Nadu, April 11, 2026: A new publication on Christian spirituality and discipleship was unveiled in Tamil Nadu on April 9, offering a timely reflection on inner transformation and purposeful living in today’s fast-paced world.

Titled The Heart of Living, the book was released by Archbishop George Antonysamy during the inauguration of the new office of New Leader, marking a significant contribution to contemporary Christian thought.

The work is a collaborative effort by Fr. Arul Kumar, Dr. S. John Kaviarasu, and Dr. I. Benjamin Prabahar. Together, the authors present a unified vision of authentic Christian living, rooted in interior renewal and expressed through a life of service.

Drawing on Sacred Scripture, the lives of the saints, and contemporary spiritual insights, the book seeks to address what it identifies as a deep spiritual hunger in modern society. It proposes a path towards purpose, peace, and joy, grounded in Christian and Ignatian spirituality.

Central to the text is an exploration of key virtues such as humility, trust, forgiveness, simplicity, and service, presented as essential to a meaningful and faith-filled life. The authors emphasise that true fulfilment lies not in material success but in a relationship with God, lived out through love and service to others.

The release event brought together clergy, scholars, and well-wishers, reflecting the enduring relevance of faith-based perspectives in shaping personal and social life.

At a time when conversations around purpose and well-being are gaining global attention, The Heart of Living positions itself as a timely spiritual guide, inviting readers to rediscover values that nurture both personal faith and collective responsibility.
