Sisters of Holy Cross Elect New Provincial Leadership Team in Central Indian Province

BENGALURU, September 19, 2026: The Central Indian Province of the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross, Menzingen, has elected a new provincial leadership team during its Elective Chapter held in Bengaluru from September 7 to 12.

Sr Shiny Jose Thottappilli was re-elected Provincial Leader for a second term. She will continue to lead and animate the Province in its mission and ministry.

The newly elected leadership team includes Sr Arul Mary Antony, Sr Tresa Manjaly, Sr Jobina Ambattu, Sr Kathleen Nadakkaveli and Sr Pushpalata Chowrappa as Councillors.

The election took place as part of the congregation’s chapter, which brought together representatives of the Province for prayer, discernment and the election of its leadership for the coming term.

Following the elections, the Sisters of the Central Indian Province congratulated Sr Shiny Jose and the newly elected Councillors and assured them of their prayers as they undertake their responsibilities.
