Redemptoris Mater Seminary, Bengaluru, Begins New Academic Year with Solemn Eucharistic Celebration

BENGALURU, July 1, 2025: The Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Bangalore inaugurated its academic year 2025–2026 on Thursday, June 26, with a solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the seminary chapel. Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of Karwar, presided over the celebration, which brought together seminarians, formators, and friends of the seminary in a deeply spiritual gathering.

In his homily, Bishop Dias urged the seminarians to grow in holiness, discipline, and missionary zeal. He reminded them that the process of priestly formation is not merely an academic endeavour but a transformative journey of inner conversion and joyful fidelity to Christ and His Church. His message resonated with the seminary's ongoing mission to form priests who are both spiritually grounded and mission-ready.

The Eucharistic celebration was concelebrated by formators of the seminary and attended by members of the seminary community and well-wishers. The atmosphere during the celebration was deeply spiritual and filled with gratitude, prayer, and a renewed commitment to the priestly vocation.

The celebration not only marked the beginning of a new academic year but also reaffirmed the seminary’s commitment to form holy and zealous priests for the Church and the world.
