MUMBAI, November 3, 2026: More than 5,000 people from migrant communities across Mumbai gathered on November 1 for the All-Mumbai Migrant Rally and Navkhani Celebration 2026, organised by the Archdiocesan Migrant Commission (AMC) of the Archdiocese of Bombay.
The event, held on the Solemnity of All Saints, brought together migrant communities to celebrate their faith, cultural identities and shared sense of belonging.
Archbishop John Rodrigues of Bombay presided over the Eucharistic celebration, concelebrated by priests and attended by religious, community leaders and representatives of various migrant groups.
The programme continued with a cultural presentation and valedictory session, featuring traditional dances and performances by different migrant communities.
A key highlight was the presentation of leadership training certificates to 74 migrant leaders by Archbishop Rodrigues. The certificates recognised their participation in a leadership formation programme organised by the commission to strengthen leadership within migrant communities.
The gathering provided an opportunity for migrant communities from across the city to celebrate their cultural heritage, strengthen bonds and reaffirm their collective identity.
