KCYM Latin State Committee Launches 'Idam' to Support Youth Well-being

Varapuzha, February 24, 2025 – Recognising the growing challenges faced by today's youth, the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) Latin State Committee has launched Idam on February 23, a dedicated counselling initiative to offer guidance and emotional support. The programme was inaugurated at Varapuzha Bishop’s House by His Excellency Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil.

Young people today navigate a complex landscape of technological advancements, educational pressures, job uncertainties, and mental health struggles. Idam aims to provide them with a safe space for motivation and confidence, equipping them to manage life’s challenges and achieve their dreams.

KCYM Latin State President Mr. Casey Pooppana presided over the launch event, with Fr. Dr. Jiju George Arakathara, KCYM Latin State Director, delivering the blessing address. Other key speakers included Anu Das C.L., KCYM Latin State General Secretary; Sr. Melna D'cotha, Animator; Rajeev Patrick, KCYM Varapuzha Archdiocese President; and Joyson, KCYM Varapuzha Archdiocese Treasurer.
