Celebrating One Year of Catholic Connect Matrimony: A Mission Rooted in Faith and Family

Bangalore, July 26, 2025: Catholic Connect Matrimony, a faith-based initiative of the CCBI, celebrated its first anniversary on 26 July 2025 on the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, patrons of family life, with a thanksgiving gathering at its Bangalore office. Graced by Fr. Alwyn Richard Dsouza, Director of the Family Commission, Mangalore, along with Mr. Nigel Fernandes, CEO of Catholic Connect, Naveen D’Souza, Matrimony Head and the entire Catholic Connect team, the celebration marked one year of transformative outreach, meaningful connections, and a growing mission to restore the sacredness of Catholic marriage across India.

Launched by Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, President of the CCBI, Catholic Connect Matrimony has grown into a national movement. With over 3,000 registered profiles from 28+ states, it offers Catholic singles a spiritually grounded alternative to conventional matchmaking platforms—fostering Christ-centred connections through prayerful discernment and shared values.

Beyond the Screen: Real Encounters Rooted in Faith

A distinctive hallmark of Catholic Connect Matrimony is its commitment to offline engagement, offering participants a chance to meet in person through carefully curated, faith-filled gatherings. Over the past year, the platform hosted three major “Meet & Greet” events that brought together hundreds of Catholic singles in an environment of prayer, fellowship, and joy:

• Bengaluru – 19 January 2025: A landmark event that brought together 420+ Catholic singles, in collaboration with Logos Matrimony at Paalanaa Bhavana
• Bengaluru (Mini Meet) – 26 February 2025: A more intimate gathering of 150+ offered participants time to connect, interact, and get to know each other.
• Mangaluru – 20 July 2025: Held at St. Joseph’s Engineering College, this event drew 350+ young Catholic singles from across the region
