Ajin Joseph and the Book of Life Foundation: Igniting a Youth Revolution for Truth and Purity

In a world increasingly clouded by moral ambiguity and the rise of modern ideologies, one man is standing firm in his values. Meet Ajin Joseph—a passionate youth missionary, worship leader, singer-songwriter, and the visionary founder of the Book of Life (BOL) Foundation. Through his organisation, Ajin is boldly championing truth, the sanctity of life, and purity in an age desperately in need of these values.

The Birth of a Vision

Based in East Delhi, the Book Of Life (BOL) Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit company on 21 February 2025, the feast day of St. Peter Damian, the foundation’s patron saint. However, its spiritual roots trace back to Pentecost 2020, during a novena when Ajin experienced a profound calling to enter the pro-life movement. That moment marked the beginning of his journey into pro-life ministry, focusing on protecting the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.

Inspired by the work of Eva Pro-Life in the Kalyan Diocese and supported by leaders such as Archbishop Francis Kalist of Pondicherry and Sr. Pauline Melite MSMI, Ajin formalised his mission into what is now the Book Of Life (BOL) Foundation.

Mission

The BOL Foundation aims to promote pro-life values of the Catholic Church and extend both practical and spiritual support to individuals battling issues such as lust, pornography addiction, and same-sex attraction.

To fulfil its mission, the BOL Foundation collaborates with a broad network of professionals, including psychiatrists, priests, spiritual directors, and counsellors, to provide holistic support to such individuals.

Current Projects

Currently, the BOL Foundation runs four major projects:

1. Project Courage / आओ साथ चलें: Led by Krysanne Martis, this initiative aims to support individuals identifying as LGBTQIA+ with consent-based, professional, and faith-aligned guidance.

2. Masculinity Revival: Led by Rijo John, this initiative is dedicated to helping men overcome challenges related to issues like lust, pornography, and masturbation.

3. Femininity Revival: Led by Vinita Makuden, this is an initiative similar to Masculinity Revival, dedicated to helping women.

4. Project Sanctuary: Managed by Gwen Dias, this project is a life-affirming collaboration with NYZ Music. Combining music therapy, pastoral care, and professional support from clinical psychologists and psychiatrists, the initiative offers invaluable assistance to individuals struggling with mental health issues, such as depression and suicidal thoughts.

Impact

Despite being a relatively new initiative, the work of the BOL Foundation has already yielded several positive outcomes. One powerful testimony comes from a bisexual youth in Bangalore who, with the Foundation's support, found healing and was able to embrace a life of chastity. Additionally, the Foundation’s Masculinity and Femininity Revival group has grown into a thriving online community of over 500 members.

Current Challenges

The rapid growth of the foundation has brought about several challenges. Among the most significant are limited funding and a shortage of professional mentors, which have become major barriers in meeting the increasing demand for support from those seeking help.

Future Plans

Despite these challenges, Ajin remains steadfast in his mission. In the coming years, he plans to establish a rehabilitation centre to support individuals battling pornography addiction. He also wishes to launch India’s first-ever “Rainbow Retreat”—a spiritual healing experience offering faith-based guidance for LGBTQ+ individuals.
