Indore, July 23, 2025: The Diocese of Indore's Youth Commission successfully hosted the Leaders and Animators Training on 20 July, bringing together 192 participants from 12 parishes across Madhya Pradesh. The gathering included newly appointed executive committee members and parish animators from Rangwasa, Betma, Dhani, Cathedral, Pushpanagar, Pithampur, Nandbagh, Nandanagar, Vijay Nagar, Mhow, Sukhliya, and Palda.
Dignitaries including Bishop Thomas Mathew Kuttimackal of Indore, Fr. Alexander, and all participating animators were warmly welcomed. Ms. Anjana Ekka, Secretary of the Youth Commission, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the key milestones and initiatives undertaken in the past year.
Bishop Thomas Mathew delivered an inspiring message to the participants, urging them to lead with passion, dedication, and moral clarity in their apostolate among the youth.
As part of the celebration, select parishes were honoured for their exemplary involvement in diocesan youth movements during 2024–2025. The awards were conferred as follows: Cathedral Parish – for active participation in Nanhe Farishte; Rangwasa Parish – for involvement in Bal Yuva Sangh (BYS); Sukhliya Parish – for engagement in YCS/CYM movements and Nandbagh Parish – for overall outstanding participation
A pivotal session on youth apostolate was led by Fr. Alexander, former Regional Youth Director of the Diocese of Bhopal. He provided insights into effective leadership and the importance of journeying alongside young people with compassion and vision.
Fr. Mahesh, Youth Director, presented a structured approach to planning youth activities for the coming year, outlining a threefold focus on spiritual formation, social responsibility, and physical well-being. This was followed by concurrent sessions tailored to the roles of the participants. Youth leaders attended a session conducted by Mr. Praveen Paul, which focused on developing leadership skills and creating meaningful impact, while animators engaged in a separate session led by Fr. Alexander, centred on mentorship and pastoral care.
Each parish showcased a video report of their youth ministry efforts and activities over the past year, reflecting a vibrant and committed youth engagement at the grassroots level.
The Leaders and Animators Training ended with renewed zeal, equipping those present to carry forward the mission of youth formation with faith, dedication, and purpose across the Diocese of Indore.
