St. Francis’ Inter College Launches Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Uttar Pradesh

Nigohan, Uttar Pradesh, April 18, 2026 — St. Francis’ Inter College Nigohan marked a significant milestone in its history with the grand inauguration of its Diamond Jubilee Year, celebrating 60 years of dedicated service in education.

The ceremony was formally inaugurated by chief guest Bp Gerald John Mathias, who declared the Jubilee Year open in the presence of clergy, educators, students, and parents. The celebrations began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration attended by parishioners and school staff, setting a reflective and thanksgiving-filled tone for the occasion, followed by a formal programme held in the school auditorium.

A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of meritorious students. Academic toppers were honoured on stage alongside their parents, while students who maintained full attendance throughout the academic year were recognised for their discipline and commitment.

In his address, Bishop Mathias congratulated the institution on reaching the 60-year milestone and commended the management for its sustained contribution to holistic education. He also underscored the vital role played by parents in nurturing students and guiding them toward a meaningful future.

The ceremony was attended by former principals, vice-principals, and other distinguished guests from across the city, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The inaugural programme concluded on an encouraging note, calling upon students, staff, and parents to strive for excellence and make the Jubilee Year a period of renewed commitment and achievement.
