Key Verse: “All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer.” (Acts 1:14)
Reflection: Before the Fire of the Holy Spirit came, the disciples along with Mamma Mary were gathered in the Upper Room - filled with prayer and expectation. We receive the Holy Spirit when are hearts are open and expectant. When life is crammed with many activities and worries, we often tend to lose time for prayer; pray therefore to the Holy Spirit to help you to experience “a taste for prayer.”
· Has prayer become ‘the essential and necessary’ aspect of my life?
· Do I help and encourage others to pray, and do I pray for Christ’s Salvation for others?
Quote from Early Church Fathers: “He who prays in the Spirit speaks not to men, but to God, for the Spirit makes intercession within him.” (St. Augustine)
Prayer: O Holy Spirit, with Your Powerful Presence, make my heart ‘a Spiritual Upper Room’ where I can always surrender myself to You, even amid the busyness of life, and experience “the Divine Fire” of Your Love, Amen!
COME HOLY SPIRIT, FILL MY HEART!
COME HOLY SPIRIT, LEAD MY LIFE!
GOD BLESS! LIVE JESUS!
