Indore Youth Leaders Renew Commitment to Faith and Service at Leadership Training Programme

Indore, July 21, 2026: Parish youth leaders and animators from across the Diocese of Indore gathered for a day of prayer, formation and leadership development as the diocesan Youth & Vocation Commission organised the Leaders & Animators Training Programme 2026–2027.

The programme began with prayer, the lighting of the lamp, a Bible reading and a prayer dance presented by Betma Parish. Fr. Robert and resource persons Praveen and Adrin participated in the gathering. The diocesan Youth Commission also presented its annual report, outlining its activities and initiatives during the year.

A key session on Biblical Leadership was led by Fr. Preetam, who encouraged participants to embrace servant leadership grounded in faith and committed to the service of young people.

The programme included the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, followed by separate formation sessions for youth leaders and animators. Participants also presented reports on youth activities conducted in their respective parishes, providing an opportunity to share experiences and reflect on local initiatives in youth ministry.

Bishop Swamiji of Indore addressed the gathering and encouraged the participants to remain committed to their mission of accompanying and serving young people across the diocese.

The programme also recognised parishes for their contribution to youth ministry through the Most Active Parish Awards for 2025–2026. Sukhliya Parish received the Nanhe Farishte Award, Rangwasa Parish was recognised in the BYS category, Betma Parish received the YCS Award, and Cathedral Parish was named the Overall Best Parish.

The gathering concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photograph, with participants renewing their commitment to strengthening youth ministry and promoting servant leadership throughout the Diocese of Indore.
