Ahmedabad, 21 May, 2025 - The ICYM Diocese of Ahmedabad organised a Spoken English Camp from 6th to 20th May 2025 at Loyola Hostel, Karamsad, for students from 6th standard to college level. The camp saw the participation of around 85 students, including both day scholars and residential attendees.
Residential participants especially benefitted from learning to live independently, manage time effectively, maintain discipline, and engage in community living—skills that enhanced their overall personal development.
While the main focus was to improve English language and grammar skills, the camp also offered a wide range of enriching sessions. These included topics such as financial literacy, career guidance, legal awareness, responsible social media use, and mental wellness. Students explored issues like self-blame and the seven deadly sins, gaining valuable insights into emotional and moral growth.
Participants developed key skills such as public speaking, teamwork, creative thinking, and self-confidence through daily activities like English conversations, skits, role-plays, and action songs.
A dedicated team of faculty and resource persons led the camp, guiding students through a well-rounded and interactive learning experience.
The camp concluded with a time of adoration and a prize distribution ceremony, marking the end of a fruitful and transformative journey for the youth.
