ICYM Bareilly Job Fair Connects Young Job Seekers with Employers

BAREILLY, Uttar Pradesh, August 1, 2026: Around 80 young job seekers from Bareilly and surrounding areas took part in a Mega Job Fair organised by ICYM Bareilly on July 31, providing them an opportunity to meet prospective employers, explore career options and seek employment.

The job fair was held at Bishop Conrad Senior Secondary School, Junior Wing, Bareilly, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. under the theme, “Build Your Career. Shape Your Future.”

Organised with the approval of Bishop Ignatius D’Souza of Bareilly, who serves as the National, Regional and Bareilly Diocesan ICYM Chairman, the initiative was conducted in collaboration with ICYM Lucknow and ICYM Meerut, and in association with Don Bosco Job Placement Network India and Bright Futures.

The programme sought to create a direct link between young job seekers and employers while helping participants better understand available career opportunities. Candidates interacted with recruiters, explored different employment options and received guidance on career choices and professional opportunities.

Several participants were shortlisted for subsequent rounds of recruitment, giving them a potential pathway towards employment.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of career guidance and employment support in helping young people make informed decisions about their professional future.

The positive response to the job fair reflected the growing need for platforms that bring employers and young job seekers together. Through the initiative, ICYM Bareilly, along with its partner organisations, sought to translate its commitment to youth empowerment into practical opportunities for employment and career development.

The programme formed part of the Church’s broader youth ministry, which seeks to accompany young people not only in their faith journey but also in responding to social and economic challenges that affect their lives and future.
