ICYM Ahmedabad Hosts Job Fair in Collaboration with Don Bosco Network

Ahmedabad, 25 May, 2025 - The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Ahmedabad Diocese, in collaboration with the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Delhi, successfully organised a job fair at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nadiad.


Thirteen recruitment partners participated, offering over 950 job openings. A total of 174 candidates registered, with 83 attending in person. The fair resulted in 293 job offers, and 76 candidates were successfully placed in employment.


The event was honoured by the presence of key dignitaries, including Fr. Ambrose Dabhi, Parish Priest and Manager of St. Mary’s Church and School; Fr. Edwin Anand, Youth Director of ICYM Ahmedabad; Mr. Shailesh Rathod, journalist and mentor of ICYM; and Mr. Harish, Programme Manager of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network.


The success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of Fr. Edwin Anand and Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB, supported by the ICYM leadership team: Mr. Kevin (President), Ms. Sharon (Vice President), Mr. Krutesh (Treasurer), Mr. Jenish (PRO Committee), and Mr. Nelson (National Treasurer). Additional contributions came from Mr. Ruchith (In-charge, Yuvamukhe Prabhuvani), Mr. Rehan (Transportation In-charge), Mr. Sandeep Minj (Placement Coordinator, Delhi JPN), Mr. Peter (Programme Coordinator), and Mr. Harish.


Special thanks were extended to Fr. Ambrose and the non-teaching staff of St. Mary’s School for their invaluable support throughout the process.


The fair not only addressed local employment needs but also fostered stronger partnerships with industry stakeholders, creating pathways for sustainable career growth.
