Jubilee Youth Celebrations Held at Pastoral Centre, Khammam

Khammam, Telangana, December 6, 2025 — The Diocese of Khammam marked its Jubilee Youth Day at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in collaboration with MIJARC, under the leadership of the Bishop of Khammam, Sagili Prakash.

The event opened with a Holy Mass led by Bishop Prakash, who highlighted the vital role of young people in strengthening families, enriching society, and witnessing Christian values in a changing world.

The programme included key sessions for the youth. Fr. Medi Sleevearaj SDB, Regional Youth Director, outlined the structure of ICYM and encouraged active youth involvement in the Church’s mission. Mr. Srujan spoke on the increasing significance of media in evangelisation, while Mr. Krishnankar, MIJARC World Advisor, emphasised MIJARC’s global mission and urged young people to take responsibility for caring for the environment.

The celebration was organised by Fr. Dara Mathew, Diocesan Youth Director, with support from clergy of the Pastoral Centre.

The Jubilee Youth Day concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among participants, who were encouraged to take on greater roles in their communities and the Church.
